A message from the President/CEO 🧩
Hello, my name is Cynthia Torres, I stand before you not just as a mother, but as a warrior forged through love, struggle, and unshakable resolve.
In 2018, my life was changed forever when my son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In that moment, I was thrown into a world I knew nothing about-a world full of questions, unknowns, and obstacles I never saw coming. But from that moment on, I made a vow: I would learn everything I could, fight for everything I could, fight for everything he deserved, and never stop until his voice-and every other child like him-was heard. What started as a journey to help my son became a full transformation. I didn’t Just become an advocate-I became part of the very fabric of the Autism community. I live it. I breathe it. And every lesson I’ve learned along the way, I now carry not just for my son, but for every family navigating this path in silence.
The systems that are supposed to support us too often turn their backs. We are pushed around, gaslit, ignored, and treated like a statistic to be exploited. I see promises made with smiling faces and hollow words, all while our children are used as bargaining chips for profit.

From now on, when you see the word Autism, I want you to see my face and know resistance is here. Empowered, brave, and unstoppable. This fight is no longer for my son. It’s for every parent who’s been overlooked, and every family who deserves more. I’m here to fight for our children’s rights.
